Abstract
The laboratory was established by University College, Cardiff, in 1974 primarily for research in vegetation history and archaeology in Britain. The laboratory has been supported yearly since 1978 by the Conservation and Land Division of the Welsh Office, Cardiff, which submits archaeologic samples from rescue excavations in Wales which are carried out by the Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Trust Ltd (CPAT), the Dyfed Archaeological Trust Ltd (DAT), the Glamorgan Gwent Archaeological Trust Ltd (GGAT), and the Gwynedd Archaeological Trust Ltd (GAT).Keywords
