Abstract
A linearisation procedure gives rise to a collisional RPA eigenvalue equation for a collisional time-dependent Hartree-Fock equation of motion derived by means of a truncation of the BBGKY hierarchy. The relation of this to other similar approaches to dissipative collective dynamics is discussed. It is seen that the original nuclear kinetic equation contains both the Boltzmann limit describing the equilibration of the Fermi sea and the second RPA version of vibration damping for any temperature. Keywords
