Abstract
An evaluation of bilirubin spectrophotometry with the AO bilirubinometer as compared to an accepted diazo coupling method is presented. The bilirubinometer is a simple and accurate method suitable for monitoring total bilirubin in neonatal jaundice. The method may serve as a good complement to diazo coupling procedures in icteric newborns. Keywords
