Radio-Frequency Resistors as Uniform Transmission Lines

Abstract
A theoretical study is made of the behavior of resistors, particularly the type where the resistance element is in the form of a film so there is negligible skin effect. When the electrical length of the resistor is a small fraction of a wavelength, it is shown that certain optimum proportions of the resistor exist in order best to terminate a radio-frequency transmission line.
