Abstract
Extract Human and animal nocardiosis due to Nocardia asteroides has been reported in most countries where it has been actively sought. The only report to date from New Zealand is that of Hiddlestone (1957) who describes a human case where the diagnosis was based mainly on bacteriological findings but the organism could not be demonstrated in tissue sections. Keywords
