Calculation of phonon softening and phonon linewidths in mixed valenceSm1−xYxS

We present numerical results for the softening and linewidth of longitudinal phonons in mixed valence ${\mathrm{Sm}}_{1-x}{\mathrm{Y}}_x\mathrm{S}$. The results were obtained by fitting three parameters characterizing the electron-lattice coupling to experimental results.
