On the existence of a surface-peaked term in the real optical potential

Abstract
The dispersion relation for the optical-model potential and the observed surface-peaking in the low-energy imaginary potential imply the presence of a surface-peaked term in the real part of the potential; this is shown to be significant in some energy regions.Keywords
