Abstract
The clinical effectiveness of tetracycline vs chloramphenicol therapy for scrub typhus was studied in 60 servicemen who acquired their infections in Vietnam. Tetracycline eliminated fever and other symptoms of this disease more rapidly than chloramphenicol. Clinical relapses were relatively common in patients given a short course of therapy with either antibiotic. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
