Abstract
A qualitative and schematic discussion of the theory of the angular distribution of neutrons emitted in the reaction is presented. Evidence concerning existence of quasistationary states is discussed with the conclusion that there are indications of two such states, one at ∼2.2-Mev incident proton energy and another below the reaction threshold. Both levels are probably of odd parity. The existence of the level below threshold is based on less direct evidence than that of the level at ∼2.2 Mev. It is assumed that is left either in its ground state or another state of the same parity.
