Abstract
An analysis of vibronic bands associated with the phosphorescence of pyrazine in a single crystal of benzene is made from the viewpoints of the polarization and of the relative radiative rate constants for the triplet sublevels. The experimental results in conjunction with theories lead to the unambiguous conclusions regarding the long disputed vibrational assignments for some nontotally symmetric vibrational species. Keywords
