Abstract
The phase-shift method in solid state scattering theory is applied to the study of the scattering of long-wavelength phonons by point defects in the cubic lattice model of Montroll and Potts. Expressions for the mean free path and Debye temperature are derived for a solid containing a small concentration of point defects. Keywords
