# Study shows association between H pylori infection and hypertension {#article-title-2} EDITOR,—P Patel and colleagues report an association between Helicobacter pylori and Chlamydia pneumoniae infections and coronary heart disease and plasma fibrinogen concentrations but did not find an association between H pylori infection and a history of hypertension.1 We have studied the relation between H pylori infection and cardiovascular risk factors in hypertensive patients.
