Abstract
Agrostis setacea is locally abundant in heaths in south and south-west England and in South Wales, this representing the northern limit of a species otherwise largely confined to western France, northern and western Spain, and Portugal. Its distribution and ecology in the British Isles is discussed and comparisons are made with continental habitats. The various biotic factors which affect the species are mentioned, especially the effect of heath burning. Species lists from 18 localities are given, together with soil analyses from 10 of these. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
