Abstract
The fatty acid composition of the oil from Argentine rapeseed grown in Western Canada was investigated by converting the glyceride esters to methyl esters and distilling the latter in a Podbielniak Heligrid distillation column. Analyses of the fractions showed 6 to 10% more eicosenoic acid and 7 to 10% less erucic acid than was previously reported for rapeseed oils. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
