Abstract
Pressed pellets of the new layer compound [Zn2Cr(OH)6]OH.nH2O have a high proton conductivity, which is due to proton transfer between H2O and OH– species, in contrast with the usual involvement of H3O+ and H2O in good solid-state proton conductors.Keywords
