Abstract
The validity of a previously described rapidly responding CO2 detector is supported by calculations and by additional calibrating measurements. The disagreement in the literature on the dependence of photosynthetic rates in Chlorella upon CO2 pressure is ascribed to incomplete adaptation of the algae to reduced supplies of CO2.Keywords
