Abstract
Secretion of intrinsic factor, acid and pepsin in response to pentagastrin and histamine was compared in 7 normal subjects. Pentagastrin in doses of 6 ug/kg induced a gastric secretion slightly higher than obtained with maximal doses of histamine. With pentagastrin no significant side effects were observed. Keywords
