Abstract
Extract Although Syngamus trachea in birds has been reported many times in overseas countries, it has been recorded only once in New Zealand (Whitten and Salisbury, 1951 Whitten, L. K. and Salisbury, R. M. 1951. Aust. vet. J., 27: 291–291. [Google Scholar] ). On that occasion it was diagnosed in aviary birds, wild starlings (Sturnus vulgaris) and a blackbird (Turdus merula). Keywords
