Abstract
Owing to the great versatility offered by polyurethanes regarding the ease of synthesis and variable properties of the final product obtained (elastomeric or rigid polymer), polyurethanes become a basic component used in IPN formation. Numerous studies were conducted on IPNs based on polyurethanes and various vinyl monomers. Tensile strength, hardness, swelling, and thermal properties were obtained, and morphology studies have been conducted. This review gives a comprehensive compilation of the recent studies on these properties. The article specifically deals with the systematic coverage of all the research work carried out in the field of interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) based on polyurethanes (PUs) and various vinyl monomers. Keywords
