Abstract
Organization occurred to a varying degree in thrombi isolated from the vessel wall in containers impervious to cells. Nevertheless the cells of the vein wall appear to play a predominant role in the process of organization when the wall is damaged. Hyperplastic intimal tissue is capable of organizing thrombi. Endothel-ial-like cells and the giant cells composed of macrophages formed from circulating blood cells. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
