Abstract
Two patients had meat occluding the cervical esophagus. After repeated unsuccessful attempts at removal, a Fogarty balloon catheter was passed. The meat was readily removed on withdrawal of the expanded balloon. This represents a simple technique for removal of a proximal esophageal foreign body. Keywords
