Administrative Problems in Special Education

Abstract
An attempt was made to identify and isolate specific problems peculiar to administrators and supervisors of special education when grouped under the following criteria: type of program, size of program, and years of experience in current position. The results of this study did not support the hypothesis that these three criteria may influence the mean ratings given to the problems identified in this study. Because of the selective process used in identifying the 60 problems used in this study, they should be considered representative of the types of problems directors and supervisors of special education encounter in the field. They appear to be of value as guides in developing future programs for educating leadership personnel.
