Abstract
Thermodynamic considerations relevant to molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) preparation and non-covalent interaction based ligand recognition are presented. Together with the description of a semi-quantitative approach to recognition analysis, adapted for MIPs, thermodynamically based principles for MIP design are discussed. Keywords
