Abstract
T lymphocytes bearing receptors for IgG (Tγ cells) were isolated from bovine peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) by the two serial methods of sheep erythrocyte(E)-rosette sedimentation and bovine erythrocyte-antibody-rosette sedimentation. Tγ cells were cocultured with bovine non-E-rosette forming lymphocytes or PBL in the presence of pokeweed mitogen for 5 days at 37°C. Plaque forming cells (PFC) in these cultures were determined by the reverse hemolytic plaque assay. Bovine Tγcells were confirmed to provide the suppressive effect on the development of PFC response. Keywords
