Abstract
A device to produce displacement step pulses for studying viscoelastic wave propagation in biological specimens was developed on the basis of condenser discharge through a solenoid. The amplitude and rise time of the pulse step can be adjusted by varying the condenser capacity, charging voltage, and distance between the armature and the electromagnet.Keywords
