On Raman evidence for conformational order in liquid n-alkanes

Abstract
The Raman spectra of neat n-hexadecane and of n-hexadecane in dilute solutions in CCl4 and n-C16D34 are reported. From these measurements, chain order in the liquid alkanes is inferred. (AIP)Keywords
