Abstract
In 112 plateletphereses [using human blood] done by the Hemonetics blood processor, the comparative effectiveness of ACD [acid citrate dextrose] formula A, ACD formula B and 2% citrate in saline was evaluated. With respect to yields of platelets and white blood cells (e.g., lymphocytes), ACD-B was significantly better than the other 2. ACD-B and 2% citrate gave a much lower incidence of citrate reactions in the donors than were encountered with ACD-A.This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
