Abstract
Acute gangrenous cholecystitis and relapsing bacteremia caused by Campylobacter fetus ssp fetus occurred in a patient with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. Biliary tract colonization probably accounted in part for this unusual phenomenon. Whether the patient's deficiency of cell-mediated immunity contributed to his disease is not known. Keywords
