Abstract
11 mangrove species belonging to 7 genera and 5 families have been worked out cytologically. All counts are reported for the first time. The chromosome numbers are constant at least at generic level. The size and number of chromosomes in the species reported do not show any correlation to habitat conditions. Keywords
