Abstract
Life cycle stages of the soft-bodied tick O. lagophilus include egg, larva, one nymph, and adult. Time intervals between different life cycle stages are given. Information on seasonal occurrence, size range of adults, and numbers of ticks recovered from naturally infested rabbits is included. A discussion is presented indicating that major differences in hypostomal lengths of nymphs that have engorged for varying periods of time as larvae may not mean that a molt has occurred. Keywords
