Abstract
H. pertussis cultures grown on charcoal agar made from the Cohen Wheeler broth yielded quite potent vaccine in 37 of 42 trial lots. Of the 5 substandard lots, 3 were close to standard, 2 were quite inferior. Many subcultures may be made on charcoal agar without degrading the strains.Keywords
