Abstract
Calculations of deuteron form factors in light-cone quantum mechanics are discussed. We focus on the criteria for choosing ‘‘good’’ matrix elements of the ‘‘good’’ components of the operator of electromagnetic current in the infinite-momentum frame and in the Breit frame. We develop techniques that can be easily generalized to other operators. The electromagnetic form factors A() and B(), the axial form factor, and the tensor polarization of the deuteron are obtained and compared with previous calculations.
