Abstract
A new fresh-water species of Gymnamoebia in the family Amoebidae, A. algonquinensis, is described at the light-microscopical and EM levels. This amoeba has a single dominant pseudopodium and a morulate uroid. It possesses a single, spherical, granular nucleus. These observations are compared with prior descriptions of other large Gymnamoebia. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
