Abstract
The purpose of this article is to assess the likely impact of stabilisation policies on the health of children in Zimbabwe. It begins with a discussion of some of the general methodological issues involved in this kind of measurement before going on to outline Zimbabwe's recent stabilisation experiences. It considers how policies adopted have affected, first, general determinants of health status and, second, specific health sector inputs. Finally it attempts to assess the extent to which these factors have affected the health status of children. Keywords
