Abstract
A study or crystalline deposits found in kidney tubules of three uremic patients treated by artificial kidney dialysis has been carried out. In spite of the small quantities of material present, infrared spectrophotometer analysis proved useful in showing they were crystals of calcium oxalate monohydrate, sometimes together with octocalcium phosphate bihydrate. Quantitative measurements showed amounts of renal crystals in uremia to be much lower than in oxalosis. It is argued that some relationship exists between these findings and artificial kidney dialysis. Keywords
