Abstract
The technique of lateral lumbar discography [for lumbar disc disease] is described and compared with that of posterior lumbar discography. Its safety is demonstrated in a series of 1500 patients, only 4 of whom developed complications of note. Of these 4, 3 developed discitis and 1 a retroperitoneal hemorrhage, all of which settled with conservative treatment. This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
