Abstract
A study was made of a 3004cW radio frequency (RF) ovenfor redrying wood veneer in a plywood operation. The RF oven was capable of redrying bundles of veneer (each measuring about 135 x 257x 70 cm) at a rate of three to four per hour, with an average power consumption of 115 kWh per bundle. The study identified optimum operating conditionsfor output and cost savings. Plant production was increased by 25% as a result of installing the RF oven. Keywords
