Abstract
We investigated differences in Internet use between whites and African Americans in the United States. Although African Americans are online in impressive numbers, significant disparities in access indicate the presence of a racial divide on the Internet. Our findings have important implications for public policy seeking to ensure Internet access for all members of our society. Keywords
