The Chloroquine Mystery

Abstract
This review of the many reports on chloroquine and other antimalarial agents concentrates on articles of specific dermatologic interest published within the last ten years. Special attention has been given to chloroquine's pharmacologic action, especially urinary excretion and tissue deposition; the use of antimalarials in various diseases, mainly psoriasis and cancer; and the side effects of antimalarials, most notably pigmentation, depigmentation, and ocular abnormalities.
