Switching behaviors in some ferroelectric liquid crystals

Abstract
The polarization reversals in a surface stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystal were experimentally studied, and the switching mechanism seems to depend on the layer structure. Computer analyses of the switching process are performed and a good agreement with the experiments is obtained.Keywords
