A polymorphism in the CYP17 gene is associated with male breast cancer

Abstract
The CYP17 gene codes for the cytochrome P450c17α enzyme that is involved in the synthesis of oestrogens. This case-control study from the South East of Scotland shows that a polymorphism of the CYP17 gene is associated with an increased risk of male breast cancer.Keywords
