Abstract
A multiloop servocontrol system is described which establishes and then maintains the parallelism and spacing of the interferometer plates in a tunable, 55 mm aperture, triple Fabry-Perot interferometer to an accuracy of lambda /500. Control is maintained even under adverse conditions; in the event of control being lost it is automatically re-established by a secondary servosystem. Keywords
