Abstract
In the maghrebin margins of the Sahara, the plio-quaternary climatic changes have not been so large that flora and fauna could be upset, and the alti- tudinal levels of landforms resulting from the plio-villafranchian movements have diversified the natural conditions. Nevertheless the range of climatic changes and of the variations between force of flowing water and transported materials has been wide enough so that uniform models and chronologies could not be agreed within the whole Maghreb.
