Abstract
We suggest that the decrease in logarithmic slope of the transverse magnetoresistance of iron found at very high fields ( kG) may be due to magnetic breakdown between two different quadratic behaviors. Two model calculations support our explanation and predict additional features which can be tested experimentally.
