Abstract
Soluble specific complement-fixing antigens or antigen complexes were demonstrated in the organism-free culture liquor of artificially propagated type strains of leptospirae. The antigenic material is heat stable and nonprotein in nature. The antigens are present in amts. which make feasible their employment in serol. investigations of leptospirosis by providing a simple and practicable means of identification of leptospiral strains. Keywords
