Abstract
The infrared spectra of CsN3, RbN3, KN3, and NaN3 crystals have been recorded at room temperature and at liquid‐nitrogen temperature. Considerable anharmonicity in the fundamentals of N3 − and combinations with lattice modes has been observed. Splitting of the doubly degenerate ν2 has been observed. Discrepancies between the several reported values of ν3 are discussed. Keywords
