Abstract
Gender determination of the fetus can be an important issue to parents, especially in Bangladesh and other South Asian countries. This study was conducted to determine how often we can detect the gender of the fetus and whether the gender ratio of the fetus correlated with the gender ratio of the population as determined by the census. Fetal gender ratio of male and female was found to be 1.04:1; the population gender ratio of the same period was 1.038:1. This study was conducted from March 1999 to December 2001.Keywords
