Abstract
We have studied two tetranucleotide short tandem repeats (STRs) (VWA and human TPO) in 260 individuals from Galicia by means of polymerase chain reaction amplification followed by electrophoresis separation and silver staining. The feasibility of the analytical technique and the level of polymorphism attained by both systems (PIC = 0.764 for VWA; PIC = 0.563 for TPO) allow us to consider the two STRs as suitable and informative markers in routine population profiling studies. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
