Abstract
The increased interest in this supposed tropical disease, made evident by the number of papers on the subject published since one of us made a study of the question in Porto Rico and Panama,1makes it desirable to report the findings in a rare example of ulcerating granuloma encountered in a white American who had never left New York City, and who, in addition to the manifestations of ulcerating granuloma, presented undoubted evidence of tertiary syphilis. REPORT OF CASE History.— M.C., aged 31, an American, white, who was born in New York and had never left the city, presented himself at Bellevue Hospital, June 27, 1921, with a history of having had a penile lesion about six years before, but no generalized symptoms. He had had no treatment of any kind. He had had a Wassermann test made three years previously, but did not know the result. Examination.— AtKeywords
