Abstract
A description of the protracted course of kingella monoarthritis is given as an illustration of the importance of accounting for the slow growth, low viable numbers, and fastidious culture requirements of microbes that may be encountered in synovial samples. The practice of carrying out synovial fluid cultures in the same way as blood cultures is recommended. Keywords
